North-Caucasian State Academy was established on the 7th of June 1991 according to the Decree of theRF State Committee for Science and Higher Education as a branch the Stavropol Polytechnic Institute named “Karachay-Cherkess Institute of Technology”. In December the 8th , 1998 it was renamed into ” Karachay-Cherkess State Technological Institute”.

Medical Institute of the North-Caucasian State Academy created in 2004 to address human resource issues in Cherkessk on the most popular specialties – Doctor. In accordance with a license to conduct educational activities in the field of higher education at the institute provides training in the specialty Doctor of Medicine.

The emphasis on training doctors to go back and serve in their own Countries has maintained. A large number of Missions throughout Russia make use of these opportunities for training. This enables them to make up to date health services available for people in rural and semi-urban areas in different parts of the country, through the hospitals under their auspices. Eligibility Criteria

He / She should have obtained 50% marks in the Physics / Chemistry / Biology / English at the Class XII higher secondary (10+2) level for the general category. All reserved category students having aggregate 40% marks could also apply.

He/she has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course and is an INDIAN NATIONAL. There are no entrances examinations and the admissions are strictly on a first come first served basis.

Kabardino-Balkaria Medical University of Nalchik State was created in 1957 on the basis of Pedagogical College. It is one of the leading Universities in Russia and it is included in 100 best Universities in Russia. Kabardino-Balkaria Medical University of Nalchik State was given Certificate of Merit and Medal from State Duma for its outstanding services and achievements. The University is located in the North Caucasus, Nalchik, surrounded by scenic spots, including the world-famous Elbrus Chegem waterfalls and Blue Lake.

In 1966, the Faculty of Medicine was created and first 100 students were accepted. There were two departments at the Faculty: General Anatomy and Biology. In 1968, separate academic block was given for this Faculty. Since the early 70-s, the Faculty has started accepting foreign students from all the corners of the world. During these years clinical base was extended greatly. Nowadays, strong theoretical base is created at the Faculty. At chemical and physical laboratories students are having different kinds of practice. What is more, all the students of the Faculty of General Medicine are offered to have practice at the best clinics of the city, which are provided with up – to – date equipment. There are many sanatoriums in Nalchik city, so the students successfully complete their practice and improve their practical skills in curing asthmatics. Some of the classes are conducted at the Internet class what makes educational process more effective.

In 1972, the first students graduated from the Faculty of General Medicine, 115 graduates received diplomas of doctors. In nearly 50 years (1966 - 2015), the Department has prepared more than 5,500 physicians in two specialties "Medicine" and "Dentistry".

During first five years since the foundation of the Faculty of Medicine, there have been established the following Departments: Biology and Histology, General and Morbid Anatomy, General and Morbid Physiology, Microbiology. Till 1977 there have already been 9 departments at the Faculty of Medicine.

In 1993 the Faculty of Dentistry was created.

In 2010 was established the Faculty of Nursing. In a year, the University was celebrating its 45th anniversary.

Currently, Kabardino-Balkaria State University holds the 11th place among classical universities in the Russian Federation.

Accommodation

Students are offered different kinds of rooms, which may vary in size. Usually, two or three students can share the room. All the rooms are comfortable, fully furnished for comfortable living. All the students’ hostels are well-heated. The rooms are provided with the Internet access, TV set and telephone. Facilities for students are organized on the sharing basis, these are: bathrooms and kitchens. There are special areas for students where they can socialize and meet new friends. All the students’ hostels are under protection of the police during 24 hours. All the students’ hostels are very closely situated to the University, it takes some minutes to get there on foot.

The history of the Institute of Medicine started 20 years ago. Pursuant to the orders of the President of the Russian Federation Boris Yeltsin at the end of a trip to Belgorod Region April 4 - 5, 1996, the order of the State Committee of Russia from 14.06.96, N 1050 "On the Licensing of Belgorod State Pedagogical University in the specialty 040100" General Medicine " was approved by the Decree of the Head of Administration of Belgorod region Yevgeny Savchenko from August 1, 1996 N 459 on the opening of medical Faculty in the Belgorod State Pedagogical University. The first set of students was carried out in the same year in the amount of 75 people.

In July 2013 The Medical Institute of "BelSU" was created on the basis of the Faculty of Medicine, uniting newly created Dentistry and Pharmaceutical departments, Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education, College of Medicine and specialized scientific departments. Since that time, the university provides an active development of medical education: the new departments are opened; it expands in area, modern medical and educational equipment is obtained, the number of students is increasing, the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of teaching staff is developing.

Today the Medical Institute of NRU "BelSU" - is a major scientific and educational structure, with its developed infrastructure and human resources to provide training in accordance with the priorities of national and regional healthcare system. 

Bashkir State Medical University has become a large center for undergraduate and postgraduate courses which provides for successful operating of postgraduate courses in 56 scientific majors and doctoral courses in 8 scientific majors. Nowadays, BSMU Clinic is a unique medical institution, a teaching, medical and scientific base of

Bashkir State Medical University. The Clinic has 650 beds. Over 20 thousand patients from around Russia get treatment, more than 8 thousand 0perations are performed, and about 3 thousand babies are annually delivered here. Surgeons of the BSMU Clinic perform the following high-tech surgeries: liver and pancreas resections, stomach and small intestine reconstructive surgeries, all types of thoracoscopic surgeries, brachytherapy, coronary artery stent surgeries. Various techniques of angiographic studies and manipulations on all types of vessels, bile ducts, liver chemoembolization in growths, and uterine arteries embolization in fibromyoma arc involved in medical practice. The Clinic uses techniques of minimally invasive and transplantation surgery.

Students Life

Bashkir University has five hostels which can accommodate 2000 students. hostels are flat type i.e. with attached kitchen, toilet and bathroom. All hostels are well furnished and fully air. The basic system is two or three students in one room. Internet facilities available in hostels Students can get Indian food at the canteen of the hostel and foreign TV channels (Hindi, Tamil etc.) are also available. All the hostels are well guarded with police security. Bed linen is changed once in a week and hostel is cleaned once every day. BSMU organizes cultural programs every year in which students from various countries of the world take part. The Indian student association celebrates Indian festivals like Diwali, Holi, Baisakhi etc. every year. BSMU also organizes tournaments like table tennis, International tournaments of Cricket, Football, Basketball, and Badminton etc. Bashkir university  library has more than 500000 books, 85% is the special medical literature. Library has 4 specialised reading halls with 252 seats, local net and electronic catalogue which makes possible with an access to many databases.

Kazan University, one of the oldest universities in Russia, was founded on November 17, 1804, when Emperor Alexander I signed the Affirmative Letter and the Charter about the creation of the Kazan Imperial University.The first students, enrolled in 1805, were graduates of the First Kazan Gymnasium – an autonomous affiliate of Moscow State University, under whose auspices Kazan University first operated.

It was not until 1814 that the university underwent its full opening. It was restructured as a classical university comprising four departments: moral and political sciences, physical and mathematical sciences, medical sciences and philology. Before Tomsk University was founded, the University of Kazan used to be the easternmost university in the Russian Empire, it was thus serving for Volga, Kama, and Ural regions, Siberia and the Caucasus.

In 1819, M. L. Magnitsky conducted a review of the university, in which he reported on 'the spirit of dissent and irreligion' that he had observed at the university. In his report to the Emperor, he spoke of the "public destruction" of the university and demanded it be closed, but Alexander I put the resolved 'why destroy what can be corrected'.[citation needed] Magnitsky was consequently appointed trustee of the Kazan school district, an action that negatively affected the university, with many professors being dismissed and 'harmful' books withdrawn from the library's collection. In addition, a strict barrack domestic regime was introduced for students of the university.

In 1819–1821 an alumnus and scholar of Kazan University Ivan Simonov participated in the discovery of Antarctica during the first round-the-world expedition and pioneered Antarctic studies.

UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL

KSMU has state of the art hospitals where medical students and residents can complete their training rota_ons. Trainees work in KSMU’s teaching hospitals where pa_ents have a wide variety of diseases and ailments, providing students an opportunity for extensive training. In addi_on, trainees will have the chance to rotate through United States teaching
hospitals. Clinical training is performed at 54 units of the Ministry of Health of the Republic Tatarstan. There are 33 general hospitals, outpa_ents departments, 21 polyclinics, maternity hospitals, dental polyclinics, etc. The total number of beds is around 9000. There are approximately 4500 therapeu_c, 2120 — pediatric, 1500 — surgical and 440 —
